Stena Technoworld aquires Italian company MP Ambiente Group

?Last week Stena Technoworld acquired the MP Ambiente Group. MP Ambiente is one of the main electronics recyclers (WEEE) in Italy having three operative plants: Elettro Recycling in Milan, R.P.S. Ambiente and Videorecycling, both in Verona.

“The acquisition of MP Ambiente is a significant step on the implementation of our growth strategy in the Southern European market” says Phar Oscar, Managing Director of Business Area WEEE in the Stena Metall Group. With the acquisition of MP Ambiente, Stena Technoworld becomes one of the main companies in the WEEE recycling sector also in Italy. “We believe that the acquisition of MP Ambiente will significantly strengthen our position in an area of the country that has an important collection of WEEE. Moreover, we will be able to enlarge our service offer to our clients and increase our geographical reach” says Alexandre Comino, Country Manager for Stena Technoworld’s operations in Italy. Early 2009, Stena Technoworld entered the Italian WEEE market with the aqusition of Siat, a historical Italian WEEE recycler in the area of Brescia.
