Cobalt Market Outlook to 2021

The cobalt industry currently finds itself in a delicate state. Refineries worldwide rely heavily on the Democratic Republic of Congo for their raw material supplies and so far their requirements have largely been met, but with DRC officials now aiming to double the mining sector's contribution to state finances through increased domestic beneficiation of cobalt and copper, those dependent on DRC feed are now concerned about access to future supplies.
